Trees+Water+Smiles // Destination Kirkland, Washington Family Photographer

I spent a weekend in the Seattle area doing sessions with my old clients and this family was such a joy to photograph once again! One of the great blessings of moving to Oregon is that I’m still close enough to make the trip back every few months. I love that this session captured the Eastside (Kirkland, WA to be specific) so perfectly–Evergreen trees, Lake Washington, boat docks, and a happy family.  The views all around make me so happy to live in the Pacific NW.

Normandy Park Cove Maternity Session // Destination Seattle Maternity Photographer

All the tiny details– from the homemade flower crowns to the matching mom and daughter brown cowboy boots– made this session so beautiful and organic. It makes me so happy that I was able to take Sharlie’s first maternity and newborn photos, and now her 2nd baby girl is on the way! I was so happy that she contacted me to document their story through my lens once again.  The location at Normandy Park Cove has been the scene for both maternity sessions (and their wedding!) and was just lovely. Capturing moments like these make me treasure the true joy in life.

Walking on Sunshine // Beaverton Family Photographer

This session will always always always remind me of September Sunshine.  We soaked up every bit of light on this playful evening and I really couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful location to showcase their sweet personalities. Berry-picking farm?  Check.  Gorgeous light? Check.  Adorable Family? Check! Check!

I love my clients and I love that I have the privilege of capturing their interaction as a family through my lens.  There are many reasons why I like this cute bunch, but I’ll just name a few…

1. They like Chick-fil-a.

2. They are willing to camp out to be one of the first 100 customers at the said Chick-fil-a that is being built near us.

3. They got me an ice cream cone after the session, hence, future clients better step it up:)

I think that covers the most important aspects of our relationship.  And the fact that we are forever bonded through photographer-client privilege now (I’m not exactly sure what that means, but I bet it’s super special).

On the Willamette River // Lake Oswego Maternity Photographer

I LOVED shooting this Maternity Session.  Deepti was not only stunning to look at, but her personality was so warm and inviting and I had the best time with her and her husband! These soon-to-be parents could not contain their excitement, and I was so thrilled to be the one documenting this sweet stage in their life.  I loved all the laughter, the cute snuggling, and the happiness every time her sweet belly was mentioned.  It was so funny to realize that we both traveled 30 minutes to be at this location— only to live 5 minutes from one another.  It couldn’t have been more perfect, though!  I wish I could say that the haze was a foggy dream as it appears in these pictures, but it was actually the smoke from the NW wildfires that have overtaken this beautiful side of the country.  I’m glad that we could turn such sadness into happiness through these photos and I am so excited for their darling little girl to arrive:)
