My dear friends who we like to call the “Junes” had their vow exchange/wedding reception that my whole family had the privilege of attending.  I was their engagement photographer, their marriage in city hall photographer, and now this finale reception was a wonderful celebration.  As we were preparing to make the long drive to California my son exclaimed, “they are getting married AGAIN?”  Yes, my son, a happy occasion must be repeated over and over and over:)

The Humboldt Botanical Gardens were a dream to photograph, the weather was hot and sunny, and the oysters–oh my gosh the fresh oysters–shucked right in front of you and put in your hand–were amazing.  I was slightly obsessed.

It was a beautiful day and I am so thankful that I was able to capture such warm love through my lens.

Congratulations AGAIN Jun and June! XOXO

Sweet Noa Evelynn just joined the world and her Big Sister+Mom+Dad couldn’t be happier!  This sweet babe barely even whimpered during our session–she was an absolute joy.  I just adore newborn sessions and having her whole family join in on the fun made it that much sweeter.

Caitlin and Jason were the most amazing couple to work with. I was a romantic emotional mess on their wedding day–tearing up on more than one occasion! There was just SO MUCH LOVE.  Their family and friends all made an incredible journey to be there and celebrate with them and their love for the happy couple shined throughout the entire day. The venue at the Tierra Retreat Center in Leavenworth, Wa was the perfect ode to their relationship since they first fell in love on a hike.   The mountain on the wedding cake all the way to the signing of the marriage certificate in a tree house–it all showed their love story. It was just.so.beautiful. I left feeling renewed, happy, and so privileged to be a witness to something so wonderful.  As a wedding photographer I am one of the few people to see the most magical moments on the wedding day.  I am a part of the first look, stolen kisses, first glances as husband and wife, and almost every moment that they experience together on that sacred and special day.  I don’t take that witness of love for granted. Ever.

Congrats Caitlin and Jason!

Hillary and Tyler were married in the Portland LDS Temple  on a gorgeous end-of-August day!  Since they both worked in Alaska over the Summer, this is my first bride and groom that I did not meet until the actual wedding day! I think it was love at first site though, because the heavens aligned with my move to Portland just a week before their wedding–making this picture perfect couple a breeze to photograph.  Their love was so contagious, I almost didn’t want to see them go!  Congrats, love birds!
