A Whimsical Willow Tree Session // Columbus, Georgia Maternity Photographer

On route during my recent move from Portland, Oregon to Columbus, Georgia I stopped in Oklahoma to photograph my sweet cousin and her growing belly.  She wanted a Willow Tree in the background and found the most gorgeous spot with a few of them.  What transpired was ethereal and beautiful and I can’t take my eyes off her photos.  There is something so sacred about photographs of expectant Mothers, but somehow these elevated to so much more.  I can’t wait until you get to hold that sweet baby boy in your arms, Jensynn and Carter! Congrats!

Chasing the Sunset // Portland Maternity Photographer

I had such a good time galavanting across the countryside with these two (soon-to-be 3!).   The fact that this beautiful landscape is in our suburban backyard is just mind blowing and the look of love with these parents-to-be made it only more dreamy.  Adrienne and Jeff were such good sports as we chased the stunning sun-setting light and probably most definitely trespassed a teeny tiny bit with the getaway car ready and waiting.  I would do it again in a baby heartbeat:) #worthit #hotmama

A Winter Wonderland // Portland Maternity Photographer

I can’t think of a more magical session than this snowy scene!   It was filled with a few little boy tears, cold feet and hands, heavy wind and feisty snow —which made it all so PERFECTLY IMPERFECT.   I was so happy that Jacquie wanted to do her Maternity session for her 3rd baby boy at Mt. Hood!   It was an adventure getting there for sure, but it was obviously SO totally worth it.

I LOVED shooting this Maternity Session.  Deepti was not only stunning to look at, but her personality was so warm and inviting and I had the best time with her and her husband! These soon-to-be parents could not contain their excitement, and I was so thrilled to be the one documenting this sweet stage in their life.  I loved all the laughter, the cute snuggling, and the happiness every time her sweet belly was mentioned.  It was so funny to realize that we both traveled 30 minutes to be at this location— only to live 5 minutes from one another.  It couldn’t have been more perfect, though!  I wish I could say that the haze was a foggy dream as it appears in these pictures, but it was actually the smoke from the NW wildfires that have overtaken this beautiful side of the country.  I’m glad that we could turn such sadness into happiness through these photos and I am so excited for their darling little girl to arrive:)

I.can’t.even.handle.these.pictures.  So inspiring. So fresh.  So whimsical and lovely and spirited and fun.  Katie and Matt and her cute baby belly were a DREAM to photograph.  I asked them to meet me at a local berry picking farm and it was everything I could have hoped for.  The levels of light as the sun went down and the color contrasts it created made me so so happy.  And isn’t her maternity dress to die for?  This hot Mama was STUNNING.  The sweet blackberries and farm fresh-cut flowers added a homespun touch to the evening and I simply loved every moment!  It is always so fun to meet expecting parents, but I was just in awe of how completely grounded and solid their strength in the whole process is. It’s as if they have already done this before! I truly FELT their excitement for this new life that is about to come into the world and the momentum that it takes to get there.  I left the night wanting to spend more time with them, and thus begins my new crush on their sweet growing family:)  PS.  Those berries were seriously delicious.
