Lauren and Andrew // Raleigh Wedding Photographer

This Wedding Day was amazing!  Lauren and Andrew joined hands at The Oaks at Salem in Apex, NC and it was one of the most relaxed, sentimental, and beautiful weddings I have had the privilege of photographing.  So many sweet details touched my heart–the prayer blessings, the washing of feet as a representation of service, the personal letters written and given to each other before the ceremony (lovingly called the first 1/2 look), etc.  Every moment of the day was beautiful and I am so grateful that I was able to witness such a peaceful love. Congrats!

Annie & William // Destination Portland Oregon Photographer

“You have bewitched me body and soul, and I love, I love, I love you. And wish from this day forth never to be parted from you.” -Mr. Darcy (Pride and Prejudice screenplay)

My baby sister (and I say baby because she was born the same month I went to college) just got married to the man of her dreams.  I wanted to cry happy tears all throughout the day because it was pure bliss seeing them together.  As I was watching them get married to each other FOREVER in the Portland Oregon LDS Temple, I watched William steal glances at Annie multiple times. I’m talking…gaze-in-adoration-I-can’t-believe-I-get-to-marry-this-girl-kind-of-glances. It was adorable and sweet and moved me to tears many times.  I’m so happy for them both!  Our family and their friends pulled off a beautiful day.  I had the privilege of not only being their photographer, but also the floral designer as well.  Congrats to the most deserving couple I know!

Randy & Joy // Destination Tacoma Washington Wedding

Rain in December in the NW?  So unexpected.  Regardless, we went with it– getting soaked and frozen.  The Groomsmen were so helpful to the extent of helping me fluff the Bride’s dress and holding her umbrella and sweater in between takes while the Bridesmaids tried to stay dry.  It was all completely worth it! Randy and Joy had such a beautiful wedding filled to the brim with family and friends.  Here’s a few (I mean A LOT) of photos before the ceremony.  I am grateful that they took a chance on an out of town photographer to share this experience with them.  It’s always fun for me to travel ((home)).

Simple, Sweet, and Sincere -this backyard wedding was such a delight to photograph!  I had embarrasing-awful-tragic car trouble and was LATE to this celebration.  COMPLETELY mortified to the verge of tears, Stacey and Adam were nothing but sweet regarding the delay and I couldn’t have been more grateful. Once I arrived my heart stopped pounding, my anxiety ceased, and all that was left was a sweet celebration of love between this new blended family. Their new home has the most beautiful PNW backyard which gave us a variety of beautiful green dreamy backdrops and I couldn’t have picked a more perfect location for their day.  It was such a pleasure to photograph the tender moments between the new husband and wife, the casual floral deck, the flying airplanes, and all the organic details that made this day one to remember.  Congratulation, lovebirds and chicks!

Corinne and Jay were married at the gorgeous woodsy Rose Mountain Lodge on San Juan Island.  Coming from Boise, Idaho, this celebration was taken with their family and friends to the perfect romantic  and relaxed venue.  The island is filled with lavender, green rolling hills, epic sea views, and the Pacific NorthWest hazy light– I cannot think of a more perfect location for this outdoors-loving couple!  Everything about the day was casual, chic, and oh-so-lovely. Corinne and her family made all the decorations, flowers, AND food!  From the tasty taco bar to the homemade berry cobbler (2 kinds for the way each of them like it) –every detail was hand stitched with rustic perfection.  Even the occasional drizzle of rain left a sweet touch.  The Bride and Groom were the perfect example of THE most heartfelt love and each and every guest felt their commitment.  The sweet ceremony, the fun dancing, and the epic laughter will forever be etched on the memory of everyone there.  I felt so welcome and grateful to take part in such a special day!
